Meet Jeremy

This is Jeremy. He spends a majority of his day creating things or devising plans on what to build or buying stuff for his next project. He's a software engineer by trade, but just likes to create things. He started woodworking about 5 years ago with just a Japanese pull saw, a drill, and a circular saw, but now has a wide variety of tools which he probably should have gotten earlier. His vision is to blend multiple fabrication methods and skills throughout a project to solve unique challenges and create innovative products.

About the Company

BRB Woodworking was created in 2025 and specializes in custom items. I keep the shop intentionally small — it's just me — because working directly with customers and solving their specific needs often leads to better products. My values are craftsmanship, having fun, and always learning. If I'm not learning something, I'm not pushing the boundaries of my skills and knowledge. Hopefully the best project is the next project!

Stylistic, Tool, and Working Style Preferences

  • Wood Choice: Maple, White Oak, Red Oak, Alder, Birch (honestly depends on price; most of my projects I work around the material, so I won't heavily stain birch or maple or I won't paint walnut or white oak)
  • Wood Finish Appearance: Natural v. Painted
  • Wood Finish Sheen: Satin, very slight gloss v. Glossy
  • Wood Finish: Hardwax Oil, Natural Oil, Oil Based Polyurethane, Water Based Polyurethane, Epoxy
  • Wood Finish of choice: Oil finish w/ bit of polyurethane for durability finished with wax for smoothness
  • Edges: Chamfer v. Roundover
  • Plywood edges: Solid wood edge banding v. veneer edge banding
  • Drawer material thickness: 1/2" plywood v. 3/4" plywood
  • Cabinet material thickness: 3/4" plywood
  • Cabinet style: Frameless v. Face Frame
  • Hinges: Euro-style concealed hinges w/ overlay v. exposed hinges
  • Drawer Slides: Undermount v. Side or Center Mount
  • Drawer Joinery: Dado and glue v. pocket holes
  • Cabinet Joinery: Pocket holes
